Giving children a better chance

EVERY DONATION MATTERS

It’s estimated that around 50% of all significant mental health problems begin before the age of 14 – and we are determined to get ahead of that, with your help. Our programme addresses a critical gap in support for Little Londoners, providing a year-long mentoring support for children aged 8-11.

We rely entirely on donations. Please give what you can today, to help us level the playing field for children in London. You have the power to help someone have a happier childhood.

Gifts & gestures help too

We are always looking for in-kind gifts to strengthen our programme for our children. We aim to foster key life skills, which means that any art products, tablets, books or even access to free London activities you can provide will help us to build a brighter future for Little Londoners.

Just email info@thekidsnetwork.org.uk to let us know what you might be able to help with.

Putting our resources to good use

With the backing of our donors, we are able to pair every child with an adult volunteer mentor who we’ve rigorously trained to deliver child-led, one-to-one mentoring. Our programme provides weekly opportunities for fun, connection and new experiences across London – proven to improve children’s mental health, wellbeing, confidence and resilience.

Our pairs share up to 60 hours of weekly one-to-one sessions over 12 months and they receive a £35 monthly budget to spend on activities. The budget is led and managed by the child, giving them agency and the opportunity to learn budgeting skills.

Individual giving

A great start for a Little Londoner

Every child deserves a happy childhood and a bright future. Your kind personal donation can help our Little Londoners off to the best start, supported by a mentor who is focused on them and their wellbeing.

£10 would allow a child on the programme to purchase a scrapbook and document the journey they go on with the mentor as a lasting keepsake

£35 pays for one child’s monthly session budget for them to choose the activities they do with their mentor

£100 donation would allow the charity to run a group activity with the pairs, giving the mentees the chance to put their growth in confidence and emotional and social skills into practice

A regular gift of £30 would cover that child’s sessions for a whole year. You could help pay for a child to do an activity they have always wanted to do, such as go to the cinema, go to the zoo or visit a historic London landmark

£150 regular giving would cover the cost of a mentoring pair for a full year

£2,000 one off payment would sponsor a whole child’s journey – changing a child’s future

Corporate Fundraising

Your team can do something special for the community

London is an incredible place to do business. It can be an incredible place to grow up, too, but not every child in our capital gets the support they need to be confident and enjoy a bright future. We work to change that – and you can help. If you think your organisation would be interested to help, there are so many ways you and your team can connect with and get involved with London’s local communities.

Point 1

Charity of the Year
Does your organisation choose a Charity of the Year? We would love to schedule a meeting to talk about your social impact strategy and how our objectives align. Creating brighter futures for local children is a cause that’s easy to get behind!

Point 2

Community Fundraising
Encourage your team to challenge themselves with a fun activity that helps us fundraise. The possibilities are endless – run a race, organise a bake sale or set up a pub quiz. We are here to help you come up with ideas and support your team with whatever you choose to do.

Point 3

Payroll Giving
Your team can set up payroll giving to regularly donate and support our programme. Contact us to find out more about this fundraising scheme and how to set it up.

Point 4

Sponsor a School
Can you help a local school refer children to our programme? Contact us now to find out how you can sponsor a school’s referral spaces and ensure that Little Londoners have access to our mentoring programme. It’s an option with a really personal, local touch.

Our team would love to visit your organisation and provide a Lunch & Learn to talk to your team about the incredible benefits of volunteering as a mentor in your community and other ways that you can support us.
